The Art Institute of Phoenix offers a bachelors degree in Visual and Game Programming. I was wandering if anybody has heard of this and what they think. Would it not be generaly as effective as a simple computer science degree? I am an ameture programmer (i started learning c++, stl, Direct x, and Win32 programming 6 months ago) and I have resources for learning engine programming, physics, and stuff like that which is not covered in the course. But would it be a bad idea to have a degree so specific (especialy for that PRICE!) or would it be good to be specialized like that?
