    • Game Coding Complete - Second Edition is Done!

The second edition of Game Coding Complete is off press and headed to a bookstore near you - or your favorite internet site. You can order your copy at Amazon.com by clicking on the book cover icon on the home page of this web site.

The book is a hefty 900 pages - that's about 300 pages of brand new material, and much of the books original content has been revised for today's game programming.

Some of the new chapters include:

      Game Events and Scripts
      Audio
      Collision and Physics
      Network Programming

There's also a chapter that wraps up the technical side with a simple networked 3D game called "Teapot Wars". It uses code from almost every major subsystem described in the book.

Much of Game Coding Complete Second Edition is the direct result of input and active participation of many users of this very web site. It addresses many of the kind suggestions people sent me through email and posted on other web sites, including Amazon.com. It's been a true community effort. I hope you enjoy reading it!

The source code for the second edition is ready to download - look on the front page of this web site. It's a 6Mb download - please post to the Source Code Thread if you have any problems getting it running.
