I've just discovered in the nVidia newsletter that there's a free version of the Unreal 3 Engine, called the Unreal Development Kit, including not only the engine but also the whole toolchain. You can find it here: developer.nvidia.com/object/udk.html
It's really a shame that I don't have the spare time to play with it
But I'll hope you'll do something cool and show it off here
